The owners of this romantic estate desired a sophisticated and inviting environment that would create a visual interest from room to room, while providing a feeling of personal comfort.
Debra May Himes was hired during the project's design phase of construction. This enabled her to guide the interior architectural detail of the home. Debra selected hand-hewn beams, natural stone, distressed wood, textured fabrics, and interesting wall finishes to enhance the architecture.
Several walls within this home have a lime wash finish while other walls were treated with different textures and styles of Venetian plaster. Using a remarkable palette of stone, wood, and fabrics helped to create contrast, interest and intimacy.
